Fun Fact: This wedding took place about 2 weeks after our venue was hit by the tornado that ripped through the Ozarks in April of 2019. Over half of our fence had been blown away as well as about 40 of the trees surrounding the parking lot and over 60 of our cedar trees behind the chapel. But looking at this beautiful photo, nobody sees that. All that is seen and remembered is a happy couple starting their lives together even after the craziness two weeks before! (And maybe just a little less fence to work with for photos…but you don’t actually really see that!)

I hope and pray that we are able to look back on photos from 2020 in this same manner. We may have a few more masks worn and maybe a not quite as many hugging photos, but we still get to witness the beauty of two lives becoming one even during such a crazy time as a pandemic. If we can stop and focus on the true meaning of a wedding and not get bogged down in the nitty gritty, I truly think we will be able to look back with fond memories at the opportunities we had to make the best out a less than ideal world!

Thank you to Jessica Yahn for sharing these AMAZING photos with us! Check out a few more from Melissa & Michael’s beautiful 2019 wedding below :)
