Meet Doug & Dodi
Doug & Dodi Thomas served in ministry for over 15 years. During those years, they had the opportunity to provide pre-marital and marriage counseling to couples from the church. They also helped plan special wedding events. Doug has officiated at many weddings and still does. Dodi has been instrumental in helping direct and coordinate several weddings. This experience has been instrumental in planning and therefore has helped Doug & Dodi with offering beautiful Weddings & Events at Samuel Cedars.
Samuel Cedars opened after Doug & Dodi Thomas saw a need in the Springfield, MO area for an outdoor wedding venue and indoor reception venue.
Since that time, over 400 brides have chosen Samuel Cedars as the place for their dream wedding. When it comes to wedding chapels or reception sites in the Springfield area, Samuel Cedars is a step ahead. Our brides appreciate the abundance of time they have to decorate for their weddings. The facilities are located in Rogersville, Missouri which is just minutes from the Springfield Missouri Metro and is one of the top wedding venues Springfield, MO. Samuel Cedars Wedding & Event Venue includes a large outdoor wedding chapel, indoor reception hall, large bridal cottage, and a grooms room surrounded by tall cedars and beautiful landscaping. If preferred, the reception hall can be used as an indoor chapel with two large cedar doors providing a picture-perfect backdrop. A large deck provides a starting point for the brides’ walk from the bridal suite down the cedar path to the chapel.
